It gives Linda Robertson a lot of pleasure being able to share my work with people as she is a New Artist. Linda Robertson started painting a month ago and has progressed to a professional level artist in no time.
She has a background in Fashion design & Interior decorating - { textured paint effects for walls }
but she has always wanted to paint pictures rather than walls !!!
"Its quite funny how i got started really - i moved into a new Apartment on New Years day & didnt really have any nice pictures to put on the walls & felt i wanted something that really showed my personality, so i bought a couple of canvas's & paints/brushes & started to paint a funny lady in red. I really enjoyed working on it, found it very relaxing & i smiled every time i looked at it.I painted this on the 11th of Jan, a few days later i had a couple of friends round & they brought a freind with them that i didnt know. Now by this time I was starting to feel quite nervous about their reaction to my painting but the total reverse happened to the responce I expected to get. I thought they would have a good laugh at me -- but no - they loved it & the friend of my friend actually wanted to buy it & she was serious !!!"
"I cant say how proud i felt & needless to say i painted her one very similar."
Now she has a collection of paintings varying from Abstact to mainly figurative, some having a humourous touch to them. What she loves the most from her paintings are the reactions from people & the smile on their faces.
