time for the Designer Jewellers summer exhibition again so if you fancy a quick trip to London and you love designer sparkles now is the time.
The Designer Jewellers Group are inviting you to browse their wares and treat yourself to something sparkly and special for the season. Designer Jewellers summer exhibition Taking over the foyer throughout June, this collection of well established jewellery designers and makers have brought their diverse range of talents together with some invited newcomers to showcase their collections.
Whether you are looking for significant pieces, such as wedding or engagement rings, or simply want to buy something new, vibrant and unusual, you can be sure to come across plenty that will catch your eye at the summer show.
Traditional to modern With such a variety of different styles, materials and designers on show, there is always plenty to look at at the Designer Jewellers summer exhibition. From classic to contemporary designs, made from precious metals, plastics, wood and gemstones, this is a chance to browse the stunning pieces which have all been handcrafted by members of the Designer Jewellers Group.
Exhibition highlights There are 34 different members of the Designer Jewellers Group currently, so you can expect to see a vibrant selection of designer represented at the summer exhibition in the Barbican foyer. Check out the innovative use of polypropylene and crystals in Anoush Waddington's necklaces, Tom McDowell's broaches which are inspired by children's drawings of animals, the gold and silver alloys and semi-precious stones of Bettina Starke's creations, and Kerry Richardson's African inspired precious and non-precious jewellery designs.
London Jewellery Week Taking place throughout three weeks of June, the Designer Jewellers summer exhibition also coincides with London Jewellery Week which hits town from the 6th - 12th June 2011.
Bringing together some of the biggest names in the jewellery business, fans of the bling can take part in talks, tours, events and exhibitions all centred around the sparkly, the shiny and the precious.
