Dubai 1962-DUTAC

An exclusive collection of black and white photographs have found their way from Japan to Dubai. Taken by a visiting Japanese reporter in 1962, the collection is a never before seen absolute treasure.

In his encounters with HH Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum, his wanders through the fish market and his rides across the creek, Kawashima captured a Dubai difficult for the present day community of the rapidly developing city to even imagine.

The photographs reveal a culture and harsh yet vibrant way of life that lies at the heart of this emerging metropolis. An exquisite and wondrous collection that will intrigue UAE residents and visitors alike.
